Did I do good?

Hi,

About 2 weeks ago I found this site and posted a question about what a 14 yr old B7200HST with a belly mower would be worth. Why I asked is that I was considering buying my hubby a new tractor with all the extras he wish he had.

It is a surprise Anniversary gift--we have been together 20 years.

Well after lurking around this site I decided to do it--but am still wondering if I got a good deal.

It is being delivered tomorrow (Friday) a little early but just in time for the 3 day weekend. So he will have lots of time to play

I bought him:

A B2910HSD tractor with loaded turf tires and folding ROPS
A RCK 60-27B 60" Mid-Mower
A LA402FL FEL with 60" bucket
A Brush Hog BX600 Box Blade
A Land Pride 60" Tiller
A H&S UTT716 Tandem axel trailer with electric Brakes

Before the 6% Michigan sales tax and the $4750 I got for the trade in on the old tractor--the package is costing me $22,500.00--plus the dealer said we could rent a back hoe to fit the tractor for little or no cost--if one is available.

Did I do good? or not?

I really can't wait to see his face when he gets home from work tomorrow-- or what our 5 acres will look like after this weekend--LOL

You did wonderful! Most guys would love to have that present waiting for them..I guess 20 years is worth something. But, with all that equipment, don't look for him to be in the house for a while.I'm sure it will be "play" time around your house!!!

Your price is about right in the middle on prices. I would say you did just fine with your purchase. Congratulations on the twentieth and your husband is one lucky guy!

What an absolutely awsome anniversary gift! I can tell you that if my wife gave me something like that for our 20th, I would absolutely love it!

The price you got is right in line, and I know he will love it! Let us know, and if he doesn't like it, you have about a bazillion people in TBN that would box him around the ears!

Hi all,

Thank you for your responses. I thought I would update you.

He was SHOCKED to say the least. After this weekend the tractor has 15 hours on it--I am sure there would have been a lot more but it rained a lot this weekend. There is a couple of trees gone and the lawn did get mowed and I surely do not know what we are going to do with such a big garden--he got a little carried away with the tiller--but it left less lawn to be cut. We also HAD a big dirt pile that was left from some construction--the key word is HAD. If he keeps it up I will not recognize the place.

As for the few questions. Yes I do have sisters but they are not into tractors:-( they are city girls.

I really do not need another husband--unless you like doing housework

As for my gift--well--we will have to see--this was an early gift by a couple of weeks--I am hoping for a nice vacation to someplace warm this winter. But knowing him it will probably be another implement for the tractor

I did do my shopping around and found that Rosy Brothers had the best deal.

All in all it looks like I did good--so I am happy.
