Great forum! New guy here, lookin to buy a new 2630 w/ loader and backhoe. I checked the Build My Kubota to get a price, but my question is how much room do the dealers have to come down from that price? I have several dealers in the area and i don't want to leave money on the table...

Try the below site as it will only take a few minutes to contact and get a price from Brady. I saved a good sum of money even with the transportation cost. They are great people to do work with and there are lots of people on this forum that have done business with the Barlow's.

I agree with GOTCHA. I've bought 6 from them in the last 5 years, Doubt you'll beat their price and I believe they'll give you their price at first shot so you don't have to waste your or their time by trying to beat them down another $100. They may even give you a Kubota hat if you ask.:)

Barlows is good for a reference, but
Location, Location, Location
If your in Portland it'll be free to transport - Portland Kentucky that is, but if your in Portland Oregon it might be $2,500.

Your statement is true but not accurate when saying "good for a reference"

I'm in Arizona and hunted for a year to find a dealer that would offer me a decent price. I couldn't find one even looking and talking with dealers in all surrounding states (New Mexico, Colorado, Utah and all of Arizona). I stated I was a serious buyer not just shopping but that didn't seem to help.

I looked at Mahindra and Kubota. Mahindra has a dealer in my home town so service would have been easy. My closest Kubota dealer is 70 miles away. All the Mahindra dealers I spoke with were good guys and wanted to work with me but not many had the inventory for the TLB combo I wanted.

When I started looking a Kubota I hit a wall in my area and surrounding states. Most dealers were very difficult to work with and even in these bad times didn't seem the least bit interested in dealing, even on tractors that had been on their lot for a long long time.

I found Barlow Equipment here on TBN. Brady Barlow gave me the best price I could find including delivery from Kentucky to Arizona. To cut down on the cost of delivery I had to wait until they had a load coming my way but that didn't bother me at all. He will ship it direct if you want to pay the extra but I wasn't in a hurry so I waited.

Brady worked with me as I tried to make up my mind on a final choice (7800, 2920 or 3200). My B3200 with FEL, Backhoe, Thumb, Ballast Box, Loaded tires.. etc, will be here the end of this week or first of the next.

Dam, thanks for reminding me about the darn hat as I didn't get one with my purchase. I'm going to have to call Brady or send an e-mail and see how one can get his very own hat.

I'm not sure your throwing numbers out (extremely large numbers) from personal experience. Not sure where you would come up with a hugh number like that but I'm sure you didn't get it from Barlows. I think they are advertising free delivery up to so many miles then I believe they have a reasonable delivery fee for other distances. Your not a dealer trying to muddy the waters are you? I've been to car dealers that say their competitors products are "good if they'll start" which is sort of a put down about the competitor. I think they have a toll free phone number so if your interested in buying just call and don't let the nay sayers cause you to lose money. I do want people to buy from them so they'll stay in business so I can buy more tractors at great prices from them and get more Kubota hats. Would that be considered a "personal interest"? If so, I have a personal interest in their staying in business.

I bought my tractor from Brady also. Back to topic I think most people expect somewhere around 20 percent less than the build your own Kubota price. But there are alot of variables that can screw that up.

NO - I respect Barlows and might end up getting one from them.
Right now they offer 500miles FREE delivery.
The point I was attempting to get across is that so many peeps post "I want X, Y, and Z" but never say they are even on the continent.
Barlow posts that his delivery charges might be about $1/mile. From their website:
1) What will you charge to deliver to me?
We do offer delivery. These amounts can vary depending on our schedule and if we are going to already have a truck in your area. Typically, rates will be around $1.00 per mile but may be less. You can e-mail us for an exact quote.

That's where I came "up with a hugh number".
