Reversing Type 2 diabetes is relatively easy with some education and discipline.

A friend had a similar experience. His doctor put him on popular med but the dose was too high and he ended up in the hospital with extreme low blood sugar. 4 days later when released he started doing his own research and ended up adopting a Keto diet. The results were good.
I am also on a Keto diet.
The problem is looking for the remedy in a pill instead of the diet and exercise IMHO.That is basically what he is adopting. Doctors in Michigan are f*ing terrible. They always have been in my experience.
I believe that might be correct. Can you go with him and ask his doc?I researched this, and they do, if you take insulin injections. He doesn't. Unless that information is hard to find? It seems very restricted to people who use INSULIN daily.
I live 6 hours away. Best I can do is tell them what to ask. I did run his information through a benefits check, and it said he didn’t qualify.I believe that might be correct. Can you go with him and ask his doc?
that's a remarkable accomplishment, nice goingWith all the above, I have lost 68 pounds since July 2023. My A1C in January 2024 was 5.9, down from 6.7 in June 2023.
And if you need a little help with the fasting part there is a 5 day fasting mimicking diet Prolon company that makes it easy. (consult with your dr if taking a prescription because it might have to be reduced)I work just chime in with others that many times diabetes can be reversed. I reversed pre diabetes with intermittent fasting… which helped me lose the extra body fat.
Doctors don’t really stress that. The best treatment often is free.
When mentioning something like this you should always clarify Type 2 Diabetes. Type 1 is not reversible. It can be misleading to people who are not familiar with it.I work just chime in with others that many times diabetes can be reversed. Do post the research link. From a BBC article
The pancreas can be triggered to regenerate itself through a type of fasting diet, say US researchers. Restoring the function of the organ - which helps control blood sugar levels - reversed symptoms of diabetes in animal experiments. The study, published in the journal Cell, says the diet reboots the body.
Or even worse their specialists.it is important not to believe everything your doctor tells you,
