I know alot of you guys have Dewalt cordless tools. I was at Lowe's last night and they have the 18 volt extended run time batteries in a two-pack for $99!! That's a pretty good deal considering one batter usually sells for $89. I bought two packs as you can never have too many batteries for them.

Is that their every day "Lowe" price, or is it sale priced?

I should see if Home Dumpo up here will match the price.

Thanks

Yea I haven't ever seen them that low either Jerry. I was pretty shocked.

Golfgar,

sorry I didn't notice if any other ones were on sale. I just picked up the flyer on my way into the store and saw those. We are doing an addition onto our house and I was pricing some items. Have you guys seen the price that plywood has gone up!!! My goodness. The guy at the sales counter said it has gone up 60% since last year!

Haven't priced plywood directly, but have been looking at the OSB. When I started specking out doing my pole barn in the spring it was $4.99 - $5.99 a sheet for 7/16" or 1/2". In July/August when I got a quote it was $11.99 - $12.50. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif /forums/images/graemlins/ooo.gif Now that I'm getting close to actually buying it, it is over $15 a sheet. /forums/images/graemlins/ooo.gif /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif Haven't actually purchased it yet since I'm not quite ready for it and don't want it laying around to get wet, but I keep hoping that as we get closer to hurricane season being over it'll start dropping a little bit again. Like gasoline though it won't go down as much as it went up. /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif Can ya tell I'm a little upset over these 2 prices right now? /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

I don't know about doing the reverse, but right after I bought my 18v drill/saw back in '97, I wanted a 3rd battery pack but was having trouble finding them at that time. If I did find them they were $100. Found a B&D for the Quantum line that looked like it would fit for $65. Snapped right on in place of the DeWalt tools w/o a problem. I'm still using it. There was a recall on the battery packs 2 or 3 years for a problem w/ the covers could cause it to come loose from the drill. DeWalt sent me new covers for the batteries so I could swap the actaul batteries over to the new case. I then but the B&D batteries into one of the old (recalled) DeWalt covers just so it said DeWalt. On the inside they were exactly the same batteries w/ the same part numbers for the connectors and everything.
