I have my DX310 in the shop right now getting a new clutch. I talked with the owner about the slow hydraulics on the loader and 3pt. I wanted to put a bigger pump on if possible. He says that the loader only has 2.5 inch cylinders that that the pumps is proably fine. He says that my pressure is probably just low. He is going to try and adjust the pressure. Well just in conversation I tought these older tractors had low GPM. I checked around and found that it is supposed to be 9.8gpm.

The loader is very slow unless idled high (thats why clutch is gone). And if does seem to have enough juice to lift and curl the bucket at the same time. Also the 3pt is slow to react to its controls.

Do you think it is a GPM or a pressure issue. And before anyone says it I know that pressure is relative to GPM verse restriction....

Speed is directly proportional to flow, NOT pressure. So if things are slow, there is either a low-flow pump or a restriction in the system.

Please do not post the same question in multiple forums...it makes it very hard to help you when answer are spread out across different posts.
