Deutz glow plugs / helical heaters 2011 engines 14XX, 24XX, 18XX PTs

I have a number of people around me with plasma cutter / water jet cutters. I swear I am going to re-design PT's terrible dash and have a new one cut out. Probably same time I decide to redo the entire loom for the machine and make it the way it should be made..

So, these are NOT correct? I promised myself to make this upgrade this summer. Would take a lot of burden off the starter on my machine, although we are seldom below 32 in the winter.

Thanks for asking. You don't want those, they are not the right gizmos for the 1011, and 2011 engines.

This is what you want, Deutz part number 1179016, or 117-9016. (There is a typo in my first post on the second number, argh!!) Also sold under the Genie part number 31408. Look for the big spring coils.

That sounds very interesting! I look forward to seeing it.

BTW, the main cable is elevator cable; oil resistant and able to be flexed a zillion times without fatigue.I tripped across it somewhere like McMaster at one point.

So, after a month of use, I really like this modification.

The engine starts right away, and no cloud of black smoke when it is cold starting like it used to. There is no longer a whiff of unburnt diesel in the air either. I haven't had any issues with the battery either.

The 50amp fuses have held up so far.
