Looking for some serious help
I own a 2000 Earth force EF4 and The main hydrostatic pump is gone. I have had it at my local bobcat dealer for over 4 months now. The pump is now out and at a local hydrolic repair shop but the manual I bought(for over $200) is for the bobcat B300 and the pumps do not match up.
By any chance is there anyone out there that is still running one of these machines that can help me.
I am getting desperate. My dealer tells me it will be over 7000 for a new pump and I am not even sure if that would be the right pump.
What I am really hoping is that I can find a place where I can get parts for the pump I have and save $$.
any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
desperate Canadian

Was there no identification on the pump itself ? I thought these were Bosch / Rexroth hydraulic systems ? If you can get all of the identification numbers, I could take a look on the german Rexroth site for you (I can speak the language).

What kind of a problem did you have in the first place ? I appear to have a drive problem with my B200, but it is simply a delay (if I wait long enough the machine gets going and then will hold speed and power). I find the delay extremely irritating though and don't know if I got some air in the system by letting the hydraulic fluid level drop too low or if it is much much worse....

I was driving down the road today in my Bobcat B300 and the wheels seized up. It is a 2006, and has just over 400 hrs on it. I hardly got it to back up onto a trailer and that is where is sits now, waiting for me to decide what to do with it. When I read that you said the bobcat dealer told you it was going to be $7000 for a hydraulic pump I seriously got sick feeling thinking about if that is whats wrong with mine. Can you have the hyd. pump rebuilt at a hydraulic shop around you? I think I am going to take mine to a local mechanic and have him look at it before taking it to Bobcat. Why did it take them 4 months to tell you that you needed a new pump?

Dwolf: What are your symptoms ? What happens when you push the hydro pedal forward or backwards ? Does the engine bog down, or does it appear that nothing is happening at all ? In the attached picture if you follow the pilot signals from the foot pedal downwards you will see that it stops at a 2 position solenoid valve. This valve in its "inactive" position simply blocks the pilot signals from getting to the servo cylinder that moves the pump swash plate from its neutral position. When the safety circuit is working properly, when you push the green button on the dash, power is applied to the 2 way valve, which puts the pilot signals in communication with the pump swash plate.

I'm not certain if your larger machine works the same way (I heard you might have an electronic instead of a hydraulic pedal assembly), but I'm pretty sure that you will also have a safety circuit that needs to be worked through carefully. If you too have a solenoid valve to isolate the pump, try temporarily disconnecting the solenoid from the wiring harness and applying 12V directly to the solenoid coil. If you hydro system then works, the problem is isolated to the safety circuit.

Not sure if your still having problems with your machine but i'm having similar problems with mine(not moving occasionally). From my understanding some of the b300s were made in the czech republic from another company. So even though it says bobcat on the side bobcat doesnt actually carry some of the parts or they are very expensive. (My hydraulic filter costs $300)

After spending hundreds of dollars and weeks of down time having it worked on from a bobcat dealer I decided to bring it home when they could offer me no answers. My neighbor said he would have a look at it...he had it running in half a day. He seems to think the directional control solenoid is giving me problems. After the machine gets hot it wants to quit shifting but when you tap on the solenoid it will shift. Hopefully this will solve my problem even though its going to be murder to try and find one. So hopefully your not searching for a new pump that you dont need. And if anyone has any insight to my problems let me know :)

Westcliff, I am replying to an old thread as we seem to own the same machine
I have had this machine for about 4-5 years now, purchased with less than 1000 hrs from a rental yard. Been a good around the place machine but several cylinders began leaking. and the gear pump was acting up so local mechanic sent it off to a pump supply ( badly worn) and they were able to match it. Unfortunately after the cylinder seals were replaced, ( some of the seals had dissolved and I am sure the debris is in the system somewhere) the hydrostatic drive became nearly inop. When cold I can barely move the machine, and when warmed up won't move at all, just a jerky kick in/out sort of action. The mechanic has many very big customers so have been waiting 2 months for him to stop by again, keeps promising. Hydraulics work great now BTW.
The Mechanic did make it by, found the spool valves on the pump block clean but the seals on the piston that changes from forward to reverse are badly worn. We have no idea where to find a kit for this because we have no part numbers etc.
The operators and parts manuals that came with the machine are no use to me or the mechanic. Wondering if you know where we can get more info on the hydrostatic pump?
Oh, the safety circuit appears to have been disabled before I bought it.
