I remember somebody posting something one time that they designed or laid out their shed with a web site and it showed the posts and things can anybody point me to the web site?

Many local lumber yards can do this as part of suppling the materials. There are also good plans on the link below...but check zoning in your area ( I luckily have "none" here for AG). Some of the big barn suppliers (Morton types) allow you to design online but I don't recall seeing detailed layouts. If I find more I will send it your way.

I laid out a shed I'm building using Punch!4000 architectural software. It's a bit pricy ($129 IIRC). I'm so used to Punch that I use it automatically for all my graphical work.

If you have MS Office, something as simple as shed floor plans and elevations can be done with the graphics tools in Word, Excel or PowerPoint without much difficulty.

That Google Sketchup website looks interesting. Maybe I'll try it.
