Delivery on Kubota B3030

I just received this new tractor and I love it. I want to thank everyone for all the info I have read over the last 2 months. This was a great help in purchasing the right tractor for me.
B3030HSD w/FL403 FEL and a 60" box scrape. I do need help in one area I called markham welding to order the pallet forks and my quick attach bucket is not compatible with the skid steer type I guess it is a Kubota only item. Is there someone else I can talk with. My dealer wants 850.00 for the Kubota pallet forks which are only 36" and I do not want to pay this much for the forks and besides I need 48" forks.

Bota only I believe! I paid $600 for 48", 4000# skid steer type for my other orange tractor and I've used them almost as much as the loader!

You might want to look into clammp on forks. Check out Paynes .

I have a set of Kubota pallet forks for my 402 loader. The spacing and holes on loader fit several different model Kubota loaders. The 403 loader has a narrower spacing between the arms. At this time I believe that the only pallet forks that fit are from Kubota .
When I was looking at a new tractor. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif Dealer told me that Kubota only recommends 36" pallet forks for all FEL's until the L3830. My forks work very well on standard size pallets. Do you have a specific task that you need 48" forks for?

ATI has forks for their QA. But by the time you purchase their adapter the cost is close to Kubota's price.

I use 36" forks on standard 40"/42" by 48" pallets with no problems on my tractor. I have 4 fork lifts at my office, none of them have 48" forks, I think one has 36" and 3 have 42" forks. All are used with standard pallets every day and every night on multiple shifts. Now if you are looking to carry extra deep loads I could see you might need forks longer than 36" but given the modest capacity of the B3030's FEL, I don't think you'd want 48" forks.

Before I replied to this post I had to go out and measure my forks. They looked like at least 42". But they are 36". Sticking out in front of a small tractor makes them look longer. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

As always great info from everyone. I do believe that 36" is enough considering the load capacity of the FEL. Does anyone think that bolt on forks would damage the bucket. I will be adding a toothbar to the bucket as soon as it arrives from markham welding.

I purchased the Kubota forks. Because I wanted to be able to lift the maximum weight. With clamp on forks some weight loss is from the forks sticking out further than the bucket edge.
A couple of weekends ago I helped my son move a 8' X 10' play gym platform. It was made out of treated wood. It was all FEL could pick up with on 8' side using chains attached to pallet fork frame to pick up far side. Sure was glad I had my weight box filled with concrete.
The Kubota forks are worth the extra cost when you consider how well they work. I change bucket and pallet forks several times a day when working on projects. The price you quote is high compared to others posting on TBN.
