Delivered XR4046

Happily took delivery of a XR4046 with loader yesterday. Plan on getting the 3rd function remote, grapple, bush hog, box blade for use on my 20 acres here and for deer plots off location (trailer) where we hunt. Looking forward to getting the property cleaned up around here. :thumbsup:

Thanks all. Drove it around the property today to get used to it and realized I need to order 3rd function remote and grapple tomorrow. Trees are taking over the fields and fencelines. And so I am waiting for an owners manual from the dealer, and at 4.1 hours on the tractor, two dash lights come on, which I think are indicatin of the tractor in REGEN. So i kept RPM up and three tenths of an hour later one of the lights went out. The other looked like high temp, so I assumed the tractor was telling me the regen cycle still had to cool some. I throttle back until that light went out and then put it in the garage. Then when I turn it off, it is buzzing like crazy. Finally figured out it wants me to set the parking brake. Lesson is don't drive the tractor before reading the owners manual. Have lots of time on WD45, Kubota L3710, Deere 5095M, Case 115 Maxuum, and Takeuchi Skid Steer. While I understand what REGEN does, not 100% sure of the implementation on this tractor. Looking forward to the owners manual. :laughing:

While I haven't actually used it for work, I think I will like this tractor. Going to get the grapple / 3rd soonest and start cleaning up the property fence lines and wood lines. Box blade and rotary mower before the March lawn work starts.

Not bad for no owners manual yet. You are correct that it went in regen. Since its the older series XR4046 it will do so about every 5 hours. Usually you can continue working while it does its thing. I keep the RPM 's up to about 2300-2500 during the regen cycle.

You also figured out part of the parking brake. It will beep if you shut it off without setting the brake, it will beep if you get off the seat with the tractor running and didn't set the brake, it will beep if the brake is set and you start to move the tractor with the HST pedals. (Not sure if you have HST but I guess you have the gear model as you didn't mention it)

Thanks for the info. When I was driving around I stood up and thought something would happen with weight off seat. But tractor kept going normally. That was surprising.

With the HST version it will stall if you get off the seat while moving. It will also stall if the parking brake is set and you mash the HST pedal. When I first got mine I thought it had a back up alarm . It started beeping when I started to back up, then I realized the brake was on.
