Delco Voltage Reg. adjustments?????

Unit: '67 Mdl 135 Continental Gas....12volt Delco generator and Volt. Regulator....both are original....Background: I've adjusted the voltage on the regulator at least 10 times...re-start and check voltage; its either 13 or so,, so I increase...it then jumps up to 14.8 to almost 15volts...I've been trying to hit that nirvana of 14.4volts, but it has so far escaped me...Question: Any suggestions out there?? Been a LONG TIME since I adjusted a voltage regulator on a generator/starter setup... But 13.8 volts is not bad if you can get it ' in the area ' of that... Probably your big problem is trying to set something low tech like that with a digital meter... Good luck...

Maybe something about the condition of your battery that you are using during the adjustment, might try another battery to see if that is the case. Here is a video, I had to see how to do it 'cuz it has been 30-40 years since I messed with one...

Thanks for the link on how to adjsut the regualtor. I am hoping that is my problem. currently i have no spark on my MH50.

Since someone else has chimed in...I got my regulator "regulated" a while ago...just forgot to come back and report..the battery is new, so it had nothing to do with how good or bad it was/is...since I'm not running anything else electrical with the tractor, I've found that 13.4 or so does just fine to keep the battery where it needs to be... Regarding no spark on your 50, the regulator won't have anything to do with that the coil, then go to the distributor...I've found that "new" condensors can be bad out of the box. Check your connections from your starter switch as well.. try and run continuity on everything you can...BobG in VA
