I've seen a variety of posts here indicating that the front to back blade height adjustment should be biased either higher or lower by a 1/4in front to rear, both with arguments on grass cut quality and improving airflow, etc. My mower manual 62C on JD2305 only indicates that front to rear should be within 1/8in.

Is there an "ideal" blade adjustment regarding front to rear blade height? Also, assuming the ideal is perfectly level as the manual would imply then if one *must* introduce some error, say 1/8in, then should the 1/8in error be biased toward front or rear. Said another way, is error in one of the directions tolerated better than that other?
