When the machine shop welded the SSQA plate on to the bucket he said he had to do a little grinding on the plate, roughly a 1/4" on the top and bottom of the 90 degree plate which butts up against the front of the SSQA adapter plate mounted to the loader arms. I thought, no biggie, but the same had to be done to the plate that was welded to the forks. Prior to grinding it down I was not able to engage the locking pins. I spoke with Rick at ETA today and sent him these pics. He's requesting additional pics to be sent to WR Long. I'm thinking the loader mounted adapter plate needed to be out a 1/4" further to properly butt up against the plate receiving the adapter. The picture shows how it fits after grinding which is ok, problem is if I ever need to rent or borrow a SSQA attachment, it's not going to fit properly. Thoughts? image-3224722759.jpg image-1751691576.jpg image-2251416410.jpg The two closeup pics show the fit after grinding a 1/4" or so.

Maybe more than a 1/4", depending on the attachment.

The problem is that your loader arms are wider than the 44" width of the SSQA. On a normal SSQA, there is nothing there for the plate to contact.

I will check my attachments tomorrow to see what the deepest one is.

With the bucket off, what is the measurement to the front surface of the SSQA, where I put the arrows?

That would be awesome, thank you. Rick at Everything Attachments was looking for more pics than what I posted here, maybe someone at ETA will see this and chime in.

I measured the side lip on all my attachments, smallest was 1 1/2" on the strongest built receiver hitch plate that I found.

The Dual Receiver hitch: http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/...al-hitch-receiver-mount-ssqa.html?highlight=k

2 1/4" on the Bobcat brand 1 cubic yard bucket.

Biggest was 2 1/2 on the fork frame that I tried to lift too much weight with.

So, depending on the offset on your Quick Attach, you might have a problem with a rented attachment, since it should sit flat against the QA not on the lip.

Thank you very much. Exactly the info I needed! I wish Rick at Everything Attachments could have told me this instead of asking for more pictures that wouldn't show anything different. Don't get me wrong the purchase and shipping from them went great. The depth on the Construction Attachments plates from Everything Attachments must have been around 2 1/2" After grinding mine down, its 2 3/16 depth. The adapter from WR Long is right at 2 1/4" deep. Looks like the weld on plate was just on the deep end.

Answers like this are why this forum is so great. Thanks again Xfaxman

I'm interested to see what the industry standard depth on the SSQA adapter end is. I just figured where the adapter and weld on plates both came from ETA, they would have matched up without issue.

I don't think there is one for the side lip, since it can't contact anything behind the side of the attachment plate of a skid steer.

Here is mine on the Versahandler
