Deere x595 Curtis Cab question

I purchased a 2003 Deere X595 this fall, and it came with a Curtis cab. The model numbers for the cab are BM21481 and BM21482...yup, it lists both on the tag. My question is in regards to the approx 2" gap between the hood and the cab above the floorboards, where your shins would be. I think I attached a pic of the gap (and an action shot of the whole machine...just because ). The gap is a little larger then it appears in the picture. Does anyone else have this cab on a similar machine, and am I missing some parts that would normally fill this gap? I'm not above cutting some sheet metal to fit, but wanted to see what the factory intended.

Also, would anyone happen to have a manual for this Curtis Cab? I checked their website and even called Curtis. They told me they don't keep anything for a unit that old. Seeing as it's the newest tractor in my barn by 34 years...and also newer than my truck, I did my best not to get offended. The Deere dealer was much more helpful, but still couldn't come up with a manual. I'd appreciate any help anyone could give in directing me towards a manual for the cab.

is supposed to cover it . they are nice cabs, but not airtight by any means....

I think I'd try some foam pipe insulation, as I assume the gap is to allow the hood to be opened.

But looks like a nice cab, just not able to remove your boots and go barefoot while blowing snow..

Thank you Dutch 445, beenthere and MorrisonSteel! The X595 is a great machine, and what a difference the cab makes, can't imagine going back to snowblowing without one! I PM'd Dutch 445 re: his offer to e-mail the manual, as it was the first I saw, but I appreciate all of your help and your speedy responses. One step closer to barefoot snowblowing...

I also see where Morrisonstell had them to in pdf format as well. Anyone that can send me a pdf copy of the manual/installation instructions it would be greatly appreciated!
