Deere X485 Transmission

So what is happening with it? Dealer fixing? Trading it out? Parting it out? :confused3:

Traded the X485 for X728, basically X485 was worth very little. I had dealer take whatever he could off of the X485 and install it onto the X728. Most of the parts were transferable but the X728 being 4wd, I had to buy a few parts to make all attachments I have work. Will post a photo of the X728 with cab and loader.
Thank you for all the opinions, it was not an easy decision but in my situation I feel I made the best move and now I can put the tractor to work with all the spring clean up.

Reminds me of the kid that wanted to trade up. I think he had a 485 and wanted something bigger too! Hmmm Anyone remember that? Wonder where he went?

There is no way I wanted to spend 12,000, my X485 should have lasted another 10 years. I wasn't going to spend 7,000 to fix a tractor that is only worth 4,000. It was more of a business decision and not wanting something more if that was the case I would moved up to a 2320.

The X728 looks like a great setup!

You made a decision that best fits your needs and worked out a deal that made the best use of your "early deceased" X485..

Here's hoping that the X728 stands well up to your projects for many years to come. :drink:
