So, my new-to-me 855 MFWD has a broken plastic front driveshaft cover, or "power shaft" cover, in JD parlance. It seems to consist of a piece of rubber hose and front and rear, and some sort of plastic tube between them.
Trouble is, I went to order the bit in the middle, and I find it consists of an "inner" and outer" part. That's news to me, and now I suspect that the piece I have is actually one half of the assembly, and not a broken off one-piece tube, as I had assumed. Trouble is, I don't know if what I have is the "inner" or the "outer". I'd rather not order both, if I only need one.
Any help in identifying inner vs. outer (front vs. rear?), would be much appreciated!
I'm talking about components M74910 and M74911 (item 7) in the following assembly:
