Thanks for the replies guys. I searched for a programmer already and came up with nothing for this model. I wish it were as simple as that, works well for my Duramax! I don't think this model has that much electronics, could be wrong though. Looking through the shop manual for the 2.9 there seems to be a bunch of different pumps for different HP applications, each with different timing. So I guess that's where the biggest difference is. The compression ratio is the same as the newer turbo motors too btw. The manual shows some were all the way up to 85hp from the factory so I'm pretty sure these motors are overbuilt and could stand a little tuning if it were cheap to do. Otherwise just buy a 5075 and be done with it!:licking:
