I am in the market for a deck over trailer. i have looked at pj trailers and have liked them the best. i was looking at a 21 foot deck with 3 foot beaver tail. with 7k axles. I was looking to see if any one had something close to it and what they liked about it or what they would do differently.

would really help to know where you are located.. but you didn't fill out your profile.. or leave any data..

some manufacturers are local and not available everywhere.

in any case.. welcome to TBN..

I have a 12k Bri-Mar deckover dove tail that I like and would recommend. You should look at hudson trailers, they seem to to be well built and are in your neck of the woods.

I also have a 12k Bri-Mar deckover dove tail. I like it a lot. Seems very well built. (I believe it would hold WAY over 12k)

Trailers are funny, Diminishing return. As capacity increase trailer weight increases.

My 10k Bri-Mar Dump trailer weighs 1970lbs. 8030lb capacity

My 12k Bri-Mar deckover dove tail weighs 3700lbs 8300lb capacity.

Of course the the dump trailer is only 6x10 and the deckover is 8 x 20 with another 6" (3" each side) in rub rail.

I really like both my my Bri-Mar's

I've had Bri-mar and PJ. In my opinion the PJ is far better quality.

I have a 20 foot with four foot dovetail Donahue gooseneck deck over with two 7000 pound axles and it weighs about 4500 pound. I really like the way the trailer pulls, but wish the dovetail was 5 feet instead of 4 feet.

Ive had a bri mar 20+4 deckover with 7k axles since 05 with no problems. Hillwood in gainesville sells them. Used it literally every day fully loaded for my excavation biz. I just wish it hadnt been powder coated, contrary to popular belief, powdercoating sucks for something that gets scratched and dinged. The rust gets in and blisters it all up in big cakey chunks, its a bi tch to repaint.

I've owned 3 LoadMax trailers, 2 goosenecks and a bumper pull. Very highly recommended trailer. I know they're made in TX, and I shopped around a lot, ended up buying in Indiana, for a great price.
Good Luck!

Im currently looking at a pro line (20 flat 4 dove tail) this is the link Pro-Line Performance Pro-Line Trailer Sales Equipment Traielrs
they want 4600 for it and will not come down on price. just wondering what people think of it

That seems fair. Check the ramp length and the dove tail angle. Will it load what you need without dragging?

Also check to make sure they put tires that meet or exceed the ratings of the axles.

I've got a 24' Delta GN deckover...14K capacity...I bought it second hand...has a 8ft x 8ft deck over the gooseneck as well...make sure you get a spare with the trailer...usually $200-$250 extra..spring loaded ramps are helpfull if you aren't weight lifter..oh and double jack stands in the front instead of the single in the middle...my trailer retailed for over $8k..I gave $4500 used...BobG in VA

I like the 5' tail on mine. It is a local built trailer so I will not bother with the brand.

Nice looking trailer you got yourself there.

When I bought my deck over I was on the fence about the height. It has yet to be a problem and works superb for moving pallets etc.
