It is actually the non-adjustable side that is dipping down. I spoke to the Cub dealer over the weekend. We looked at one of the brand new 2042 and it has the same set up except that the adjustable bracket is on the discharge side. He could not explain why my deck is doing what it is. His solution was to order another adjustable bracket for the problem side so that I can adjust both sides. This should work. It is only $20 for the new bracket so I guess that is not too bad. I love the soup can idea. Thanks for all of the input.
