i flattened a couple of spots on my deck belt...this is on a troy built pony that i bought at lowes a while back. is any belt of the proper size suitable (5/8x74) or do i have to use the OEM belt?
Any belt is not a good idea. A utility type of belt is a must. And automotive type fan belt will not last.
Any good utility type belt of the proper size should work fine though.
I like the Gates green utility belts pretty well.
