Deck Belt Prices

I broke the deck belt on my C C SLT 1550 so I started searching on line. I found prices from $29.95 to $73. Some are selling after market but I've read and heard too many times about OEM belts being stronger than knock-offs so I wanted OEM.
I went to Lowe's Home Improvement and they had OEM Cub Cadet/MTD belts. I got the belt with the OEM package and part number on it for $38.95. That's a pretty fair price for a 5/8" X 133" belt.
I just wonder what is up with the $73. belt?

One thing about OEM belts...they are exact to the fraction of the inch...that can make a difference in efficiency. I've used those blueish generic belts before when I was stuck but eventually I went back to OEM.

I wonder if the $73 belt is a Kevlar Belt. They are supposed to be stronger.
