First time post after much observation.

I currently own a J Deere X585- 4WD tractor w/ full glass cab, mid mower, front loader, 3 pt hitch. But, now I want a real tractor! I own an RV dealership where we have used 2 Kubotas for years & find the bullet proof, so I feel comfortable with one for home. Until this morning, I was ready to purchase a B2710 w/ Hard Cab w/ heat, 63" front blower/ rear mower/ front loader. Then I heard that that model has been discontinued- replaced with the B7800. My dealer has located a 2710, so there must still be some around. Now I'm back to the drawing board- reconsidering the B7800/ B2910 (as I like some of the creature comforts offered) and the B2710. I want to stay at or below 30 HP

I live in upstate New York snowbelt- 250"/ yr of snow! So, a blower(front mount) is a must. Kubota seems to be one of the few manuf who offers a full 63" front blower. My home is on a large pond and approx 10 acres (wooded). Needs include: mowing approx 2 acres along driveway, snowblowing (more than I wish to), hauling brush/ Logs/ Firewood, lifting & hauling dirt, large rocks and fill, log splitting.

Any suggestions as to whick Kubota I should consider? I'm ready to buy this week, but want to be sure of my purchase.
Any comment on the 63" blower- anyone have one & using on a 27 - 30HP tractor. I can't afford it to bog down.

Thank you for your help!

Bill

Welcome to TBN. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
I am sure you will find a lot of information on the B27-2910, B7800 tractors.
If you have not used the search feature yet give a try. Be sure to change the Date Range to newer than 1 Year or All post. You may also want to try all forums after you have looked at the Kubota forums.
Here is a thread where a 60" Snowblower was put on a B2710. Click Here

Although not a front snowblower, I have a 3pt 64" Pronovost Puma snowblower on my B2710. I have no problem going thru 18" of fresh wet snow and I am sure more would be no problem. I run low range with the rpm at pto speed. I am sure the B2710 will handle anything that a 63" blower can handle.

Are you pleased with the 2710? What tires do you use?

Yes, my B2710 has 935 hours and I have no complaints. My tires are R4's and I use chains in the winter. My neighbor has a new B7800 and I cannot see any difference power wise. But the B2710 has much better creature comforts and a few other things the B7800 doesn't have, like a rear hydraulic block.

I recall that one of the dealers just confirmed that the product line for 2005 was due to be introduced towards the end of this month. If you are concerned about buying a model that is not about to be retired, you might want to hold out for a couple of weeks.
Honestly, though- a 2710 or 2910 won't be out of style, no matter what.
I have a 2410 and am sure you would be pleased with either of it's larger cousins. I, too, am in the snowbelt and the 2410 moves alot of it!!!

I have the B2910 with the front snow blower. I use a large spreader loaded with sand on the rear of the tractor. I could not be happier with the results. The unit is a tank. The largest snowplowed end of driveway pile is no match for this tractor with this snow blower. I would recommend you get the hydraulic rotator for the chute. I would also recommend the electric actuator for the snow deflector at the end of the chute. These are expensive upgrades but make life much more pleasant when snow blowing. With these upgrades you can minimize the snow in your face. Of course a cab could do this for you also. If you have any specific questions on the B2910 with the front end snowblower feel free to get in touch with me. Mike
