In market for first tractor
I am new to this site and newer to tractor ownership. After 45+years of white collar work in Chicago I retired to 54 acres of mountain desert in Reno, NV. At 67 the idea of wheel barrows and shovels is not attractive. I 渡arrowed down the search to the Mahindra 2638, The TYM T454, the TYM T394, the Kioti CK 3510 and the Kioti DK4210SE. My main use is defensible space, clearing ATV trails, moving nuisance rocks, snow removal and clearing dense sage brush. This is my first tractor. I decided on the Kioti DK4210SE. Delivery next week. So far I have purchased the loader, 4 in 1 bucket, landscape rake, grading scraper, bucket hooks, mirrors and hydraulics for the 4 in 1.

Any post purchase advice would be appreciated. Full orientation will be conducted at delivery.

I think you made a good choice. I see a rotary cutter in your future.

Welcome Pete. At 67 you have ambition to do some work though. Good luck!

Nice choice! I was looking at similar tractors last week and was going to order a DK4210SE - but the DK6010SE on the lot called to me... Not my first tractor - my first was a 1945 Farmall M about 13 years ago.

Get all the rear remotes that Kioti offers. Trust me, you'll thank me down the road.

Congrats. You've got a lot of fun times ahead. I know that area pretty well, are you on the north or south end of Reno?
X2 on the rear remotes. A top & tilt kit makes grading so much nicer. And I don't know how I lived without pallet forks before I had them.

Thanks all. I am in north Reno—Red Rock area, 18 miles north of the arch and 4 miles east of the CA border, nothing between me and CA but BLM land. I will call the dealer on the suggested add-ons.

I have the 4710. It is very much the same. You will like it. Good choice.

Hello from Gardnerville! I presume you are using the dealer in Carson City? I have had excellent service from them, from purchase- to warranty work.
