I went to my local dealer today where I purchased my B7510 from and test drove both the MX5100 and L3240 both 2wd versions.
I am going to get a second tractor setup just for bush hogging using a 6ft cutter.
I really like the L3240, it fit real well, and I guess because of my small size the MX5100 didn't seem to fit me as well when I test drove it. My legs were a little short and without the tilt steering wheel it felt like I was leaning over to drive the MX5100. It a great tractor, just didn't seem to fit me.
I got my local dealer to give me his "out the door" price of $12,134 and $1595 for a Woods BB72.
I called a dealer 30 miles away and got a phone price of $11,100 and $1595 for a Landpride 72" cutter.
I have e-mailed back to the dealer 30 miles away and asked if the $11,100 is his "out the door" price including delivery.
Once I can confirm the final price from the dealer further away then I plan to go back to my local dealer and see if he can better his offer. I"d prefer to buy from my local dealer who I have supported well in the past, but with an $1034 price difference right now, I want to see if the local dealer can come down on his price to be within at least a couple hundred bucks.
Does this sound about the right way to handle this?
