Drewintoledo,

I am so bummed your situation has not been corrected. I would be really frustrated as well. In fact, I would demand for my dealer to buy my tractor back so I can get another tractor in its place. When I made the statement LS had corrected the issue, it was in regards to the new sub frame correction on all new tractors. I know there is another member on the forum who had his tractor torn apart to have the new sub frame installed and if I remember correctly, he received a new motor as well.

What have they done to your tractor? Is your tractor in service at home or still at the shop? You say they sent you the shim kit, did you install it? If so, do you have leaks? If the shims work and you have no leaks, it sounds like " in there minds" they have corrected the issue, but not to your peace of mind. If that is the case, once again, I would say to sell or trade your tractor in. I get what you are saying about not getting the service you deserve. We spend a lot of money on our equipment.

But I will say this. I have been on all the other manufactures owner forums and they "ALL" have complaints, bad service, mechanical problems and everything else just like we do with LS.

Here is what I would do if I was in your situation. I would USE the tractor as if you never new there was an issue. I would use it for everything and "IF" something bad happens, LS will than have to deal with Me on a much bigger issue which will cost them more money. We have a solid warranty that covers our tractors. As for them waiting for your warranty to end, I highly doubt it. You have documentation of the problem and or issue. But I would document any and "ALL" maintenance you do on your tractor as proof.

I hope you can enjoy your tractor as much as I am enjoying mine. Please give us an update on progress.

Thank you kindly for your reply. I haven't had my tractor in...yet. That's part of the problem, I cannot get the issue addressed.

Maybe I shouldn't have done this but I bought my tractor from a large dealer in Az and I'm in Ohio. I should have bought locally but at the time there were no LS dealers close to my location. I'm pushing a dealer (Charlie) who opened shop about 40 miles south and he sounds determined to help me. I contacted him earlier in the spring but I'm pretty sure he forgot because he was relying on LS to get back to him and to be honest I figured LS would contact him because they told him that's the next step in the process. I would have done the same. I waited for many months to pass and just reopened the call with him Monday and had a good discussion. He listened to my concerns and he returned my call the next day on Tuesday asking for more information. I'll keep on him and probably touch base on Friday to make sure this doesn't lose momentum like it did prior.
Having said that, I was out near my parents in August and there's an LS dealer near them too. It's further away than Charlie but I stopped in to discuss to get another perspective. He took my serial number and contacted LS as well. He then reluctantly told me LS has gone through some massively ugly changes and it's being run by inexperienced people now. He sounded very frustrated with them too. He also mentioned that LS is prioritizing repairs to those who currently have oil leaks before addressing other users. I can understand this but if what they told him is true, they really need to better communicate sheduling to update the end user. I still don't know if My serial number is on an official repair list at LS.

At this point, I feel the dealers are doing what they should. I haven't pushed them too hard but will stay on my nearest dealer, Charlie. He sounds like a great guy when I speak to him and makes me feel like he genuinely wants to help as did the dealer near my folks place.

Throughout this process I also called LS directly a couple of times. Early in a service representative called me back and left a voicemail. I talked to him a couple times in the months following and each time was told that they are backlogged and I was on the schedule to be repaired. He obviously lied to me or was confused.

I did not install the shim kit and I haven't used my tractor much. I don't want the problem to surface if I can prevent it and since I'm not a certified LS mechanic I don't want any fingers pointing back at me.

As for all other brands having issues--I'm sure that's true but I have 3 friends with Kubota and haven't seen a peck of trouble.

I am VERY disappointed in LS.

I called Charlie today to find a status on scheduling my repair. Charlie proceeded to inform me that the serviceman (who I spoke to early in the year) informed Charlie that they would not do anything with my tractor until it develops an oil leak.

WARNING!!! *** CAREFUL WHEN CONSIDERING LS! ***** THEY MAY NOT TAKE CARE OF YOU
