Deca MOS 138 Inverter... Does anyone have experience with one?

Deca s.p.a. - Mos - MOS 138Evo - 130 Amp - 230V 50/60Hz

Well, my father bought this little inverter about 10 years ago when Grandpa's old tombstone bit the dust. A month later, a new Lincoln was purchased, and the little Deca was forgotten. I borrowed it the other day, and I must say I'm fairly impressed. Its absolutely tiny, and I was making beautiful beads with 3/32 7018 and 6013, and even satisfactorily burning 1/8" 7018 at 100 amps. Incredibly easy to start an arc, and very stable.

I search high and low for information on this little bugger, but came up short. All the European websites list it as having an input of 230V (which makes sense) and having an output of 130amps. This got me wondering if it may be a dual voltage unit and they just plopped a 115v plug on it for sale in Canada. I opened it up to see if I could learn anything, but all I could find was a jumper (third pic) without any real description on the board. Now obviously I'm not going to hack the plug and see if it will run on 230, so I'm just wondering if anyone has any info or experience with one of these...

Italian machines are really nice. Ask anyone who owns a Lincoln inverter TIG. The MOS prefix would likely describe a mosfet design. It would also likely not be a dual voltage. The transformer on the unit would have some marking probably on it to tell you what voltage it is...or it should. It's probably fairly small print. The unit is rated CSA. They are pretty strict on the input voltage designations and the performance. I am sure if it was 220, it would say it, as it would be a bonus for a sales pitch.

You're right, I doubt they would fail to capitalize on that. Sucks though, that extra 30 amps would make this little machine even sweeter! Thanks Mark!
