Dealer Pricing -- Rigid or Flexible?

/ Dealer Pricing -- Rigid or Flexible? #11
I'm about 50 miles in three different directions from 3 Kubota dealers. Got my best deal for my RTV from one and my L2501 from another. I was really thinking I would of got the best deal for the tractor from the guy I bought the RTV from. So I'm sure they have wiggle room. Plus dealer discounts and rebates can be a huge help.

Where I live I have a green, orange and red all within a 30 mile radius of me. The green said didn't have time to talk or show he said you can look but no test drive. Orange was a little more friendlier he took time to point out where the tractor I was looking for was at and then walked off. The red being a smaller but they have 5 dealerships but still big enough to offer good deals and have that small town attitude of your now my friend let's try to make a deal to your specifications of options and financing. So he went got a key test drove one and went in and got the financing no money down and he delivered it 2 days later with full tank of fuel. I haven't had any major problems but a couple of questions I called salesman he answered and he found out the answer and got it taken care of. Any problems I also call the service manager he has no problem of taking time to care of customers needs. That's the way a dealer ship work I very satisfied with them and recommend them to any one looking for a tractor.

The dealer told me the MSRP for a XU6168CPS was around $44,000, I paid $34,500+tax for mine because he had just got an additional $1,000 rebate from LS if not I would have paid $35,500. I would say if a dealer is at or very close to MSRP then he definitely has wiggle room especially on larger tractors, maybe not so much on SCUT or CUT.

I didnt even try to get a lower price on the mt125, it was 5k less than the others. I guess i could have but i called around to a few dealers and one state over and they were 2k more than the ls dealer, or i should say distributor/dealer near me. They had at least 100 of these units in the back on pallets. Im having my mt125 delivered for 15,850 + my state tax this tues! They were loading one on a trailer heading for nevada while i was there so the prices are good. Im not in a production mode so if sometning happens i can call and have it shipped. They salesman did say they are having a 200 to 300 bump coming up.

Enjoy
