I was at the Kubota dealer today and they asked me if they could come look at my tractor and give me a actual quote of value. Heres what I got B2320HST R4's LA304 loader, Land pride RTR0550 tiller,BB1548, hardee brand 48'' bush hog. I bought the tractor with the idea of using it on our larger place But its really under sized for what im trying to do. I talked in length to the dealer about my concerns about the DPF systems but he assured me that they were solid. and he would back me up if I had anything wrong. I have read and heard mixed reviews on the forums here. I know I should prob buy the old MX5000 that he has for 11k but a new tractor is temping me. what to do?
I like the MX5200DT and the L4700DT I feel as though the L3901 is not much larger than what I have currently and I would not trade the B2320 for such a small jump.
.

just curious what you fellow Kub guys have to say.

Not sure what your tasks are but the jump from a B series tractor to a L is quite a jump. I went from a B3200TLB to a Grand L3540 and I can tell you the step up was almost UN-believable.

yea i wish they still made the 40 series. My tasks are moving round bales cultivating feilds for pasture and bush hogging. Im hoping the dealer will have some insight as to what would be suited for my applications. I have looked at used L3540,L3940,L4240 They all have been lots of money I guess because people want non DPF.

There's still some MX5100's out there. The dealer my son bought one from last week still has one and a dealer in Dillion, SC said he could get one. You have the EGR but DPF. Raise the hood of an MX5200 and you might change your mind. They left the fuel tank right beside the DPF with a thin heat shield. The dealer not to far from us has an MX5100 gear drive.

I lifted the hood on one today as a matter of fact that was something i was not to keen on. Ill see what the dealer offers me on a trade in tom. but, Im still not sold on the Kubota "clean burn" as they call it. I think the L4701 is the same layout. to be continued... Im going to look on here to really understand how the regen works ect. Gratefull11 I may pm and get your dealer name.
thanks,

I have the MX 5100, they are great tractors. You will love all that power. I also just bought a new tier iv L3301 which is 30 hp because I needed something smaller for finish mowing, etc. I traded a 2003 L2600 dt in with only 285 hours on it. I took my dealer pictures of it and that was it. Did the deal right there.
