Dead battery CK25

Thanks greenmule, but I always take out the key and snap the cover over the keyhole too. Checked again with new battery. 12.77 vdc at terminals with ignition off. 12.63 vdc at terminals with ignition on but not started. 12.39 vdc at terminals with engine running. 12.24 vdc with engine on and lights on.

Seems obvious you've got a charging problem, your dealer should easily remedy, I would expect under warranty.

Good luck,
Joel

You're not charging. The alternator is not charging the battery. Pull alternator and verify it is working at a parts store. I'm betting it's shot.

Hi,
Pull apart the large harness plugs under the footboard and make sure there is no corrosion. Check the small wire plug on back of the alternator/dynamo and make sure it is plugged in properly. Your battery/ignition switch has to send a signal to activate the alternator. This signal comes through the small wire on the back of the alternator.
It sounds to me like your alternator is not getting this signal to turn on the charging circuit.
The plug is "T" shaped and has a whit/red and a tan/? wire to it.
With the key on there should be + voltage to each wire. This is what energizes the coil in the alternator.
Check this out, without it you don't charge!
Good Luck,
KiotiDave
