I have two db's neither one of which when I bought it had working lifts. But am becoming a specialist in restoring the valves. I have always wondered if the reason they failed so many times was because the valve was just two sophisticated for the conditions in which they are used. Oh, well. It sure did look good on the table! cstan

I know on our 885 DB the 3 point hitch has been a major headache. I've had it "fixed" twice. I rarely bother to use the 3ph any more and just rake hay with it now.

Our experience has found that usually the valve body housing wears out at around 2000 hours. Ken Sweet
