Dash Lighting

I have a one year old 3520. When I put the light switch all the way clockwise (the big lights on top of cab come on) the dash lights go out. I bought and installed a new light switch but it works the same way. Is this how it is supposed to work?

i have no clue about your tractor.

www.jdparts.com = parts website with part diagrams and part numbers.
BUT it never shows any sort of electrical diagrams, for that you need the "shop / service manual" for the tractor. the shop/service manual goes through alot more for pictures and how to tear stuff apart and put it back together.

to me i would think if dash lights are going out, you might have something wired wrong. then again maybe i am wrong.

call your local dealer, they might fax/email you a copy of electrical diagram free. that way you can double check the color coding of the wires at each wiring harness in the cab going to the various lights, along with wire/plug connections going to the light switches.

The dash panel lights should stay on at any position. I too would ask a dealer if they could copy a few pages of the tech manual.
Is it an open station or cab 3520?
