I had a similar thing as a previous poster when the coupler on my 54 inch mower deck to my BX PTO came free. In my case it was the coupler itself that got damaged when it spun loose. The three bearings were dislodge and essentially the couple is wrecked. The dealer say the coupler will cost $200 to replace. Sounds pretty steep for the looks of the part. Has anyone else had a similar problem? Does that sound reasonable? Is there an "online" source for these things at a better price? Thanks! Bill

You could look up the part price at here at Tractorsmart. Their prices have been about the same as my local dealer.

Click on parts and type the part number...and you should get the part price... /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I think I recall someone last fall maybe summer that had this happen and found out that Kubota had a bad batch. I think the bearing retainers were defective. You may be able to find that by searching. Anyhow, I think it was covered by warranty.

I just bought a new coupler for my Cub 7275 and it was only $35.00. Sounds like Kubota is ripping you off.

Your dealership should have all the individual parts for the pto couplers. Make sure you take in everything you have that is good and have them or some other company rebuild it.

If you’re looking for online parts check out surplus center . They may have what you need cheaper.
