I recently purchase a new holland tractor that had severe transmission damage as well as left rear axle housing damage. Anybody have any clues on best places or websites as to where purchase these used parts without paying an arm and a leg. thanks

You are going to have a hard time finding used parts. Ther probably are not many TC34's in the bone yard. If this is the tractor that was on ebay,I was thinking about it for a project. After checking around for parts I decided I would have more money into it than I could buy a good used TC34 for.

I think I saw that one also if its the EBAY tractor. Hope you make out. Scared me off with the finding parts thing.

Same here. I have been trying to find a deal on a used tractor for a buddy and considered it too but was scared by the $4500 starting price (don't know what it sold at) but assumed the only place for parts would be through a NH dealer, and without knowing exactly what it needed was scared he'd be buying a money pit.

Best thing I can recommend is make your parts list and start contacting everyone you can find for a quote and hope for the best. I would contact one of the large tractor salvagers and try to go that route but doubt there will be much available for that new of tractor. They are automated like the auto salvage industry and a large one can put a nationwide search on the needed parts.

EDIT: BTW, welcome to the forum. Hope all works out to the positive on this. There is an amazing amount of information and help here and you've got a pretty big project going so don't hesitate to come back if you need help/advice.

Wow what a kick in the crotch! First post and the first answers are all from people that passed on the tractor as being too costly to repair. Ouch.

Sorry about that.

I would google up "tractor salvage" and burn up the phones. Also post in Craigslist as wanted

Hey, I did not think the Ebay TC34 was too expensive to repair....just
too expensive to buy & ship. At $75-150 shop labor rate, it would be too
expensive for a dealer to repair, for sure. I would love a blue tractor
project like that in this area.....I am a NH virgin and want to change that.

As others have said, that tractor is super-new and used parts will be
beyond scarce. But don't write off new parts from NH....I think they are
VERY likely to be a lot less than labor costs. With Kubota and JD parts,
I try to buy the smallest parts sold, not assemblies like engines or trannies.
Some parts are almost reasonable. A few of them, anyway.

So if labor is "free", go for it.

I was the sucker who bought the one on ebay. With that being said I think I'm going to make out okay on it. I paid $5500 for it but have found a machine that had engine fire and was able buy the entire rear end for $750. I still need some small parts like gaskets and hosing that I will have to buy new. The fenders are going to set me back about $1500. Overall though I think I am going to make it for about $9500 (not including labor) My brother in law is doing the work and I'll end up owing him but hopefully things work out. Thanks for all the replies. I may need other advice from you guys so Ill be in touch. Thanks

Where did you find a machine for $750? Were you a local buyer of the
Ebay unit, or did you have it shipped?

Anyway, post some pix of the broken bits. Good luck with the project and
welcome to TBN.

The tractor was in Rockford, IL and I am from MI. It was supposed to be a 5 hour drive. Took closer to 10 cause of severe snowstorm.
