I thought about suggesting the Jetta SportWagon as well, but I never owned one so I was hesitant. I did think about getting one when they first came out with the TDI and don't recall any space issues - I'm 6'2" with a 35" inseam and 220-230#, if that helps at all.

I test drove Jetta's and I did not fit in them well. I'm 6' -215#, size 13 shoes. My right leg was pressed up against the console and my summer hiking shoes had about 1/4" clearance between the console on the right and the edge of the brake pedal on the left... that meant I could not drive it with winter boots on, as there was not enough room for my boot to hit the gas pedal, it would hit the edge of the brake pedal first! I felt cramped in the car, and like I was sitting sideways. All in all, I was highly disappointed, as I was very interested in the TDI.
