daedong engines any good?

I'm lookin at a mccormick x10.50h and I know they have a daedong engine but I've never heard of them. Are the reliable...and how do they compare to the mahindra and nh

To answer your question, Daedong is a big company that has been around a long time. The McCormick compacts are the same as Kioti's so you can read more there.

The tractors and the engines are solid and represent a good value.

ToadHill, I see chickenman only has 14 posts total so give him a break, think this is newbie operator error, not something to get your knickers in a knot over.

To answer the chickenman's question, I have 363 hours on my 2008 Kioti CK35 HST. Very happy with the tractor, engine works great.

My 41 hp 4 cyl. in my Mahindra has right at 2170 hours on it and has done fine for 10 years. I think it's a good engine.

i got a McCormick X10.50h 2 weeks ago and it has 5 hours on it now and its hanging in there with no problems so far

Well I'm sure others will testify to the solid Kioti/ Daedong engines etc. Also many McCormick tractors are Red Kiotis just as ALL Bobcat tractors are Kiotis!!!

That should tell you something about the rock solid reliability of Kioti/ Daedong. Bobcat has a very good reputation to protect and are not going to take any chances with it.

For me I have a CK20 with over 1000hrs, I change the oil at 100 hrs and use only Shell Diesel Synthetic 5w40. The most it's ever burned is about a 1/4 of a quart between changes, not even enough to add to.
