DaeDong L3502
DaeDong L3502 4X4 40 HP 4c ? I'm new to the forum. Have spent last two days online reading about small tractors for mowing 4+ acres and working a large garden. Is there any experienced advice out there on the DaeDong? Rayburn

As you may have discovered, Daedong is a Korean tractor manufacturer who makes Kioti tractors and more recently tractors for Bobcat, McCormick and Landini. The model you are describing is older and has not been in production for at least ten years or so. I don't recall if any of the members of the Kioti forum own one. As with other Daedong tractors of that generation, they share many features with equivalent age Kubota tractors as Daedong manufactured some Kubota tractors and they certainly copied a lot of Kubota engineering.

I suggest you check with a local Kioti dealer to see what sorts of parts and supply issues would be involved. You will probably need to call a few dealers to find one that has been around long enough to have actually sold an L3502 or is familiar with any maintenance issues for that model. Kioti USA is in North Carolina and they might be of assistance too. You can find dealers in your area by going to the www.kioti.com site and entering your zipcode.

Good luck.

Island Tractor, we need you in Texas. I have never gotten a more imformative, helpful reply to a post. You guys are a rare breed to take that much time to help a single individual, especially when I am not a prospective buyer of your service. It also tells me that this is a first class board, or you wouldn't be here. All the best to you. Rayburn Blair

You may find this thread useful: http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/kubota-buying-pricing/107522-anyone-know-about-kubota-l3502.html

Some of the old photos are missing but it sure looks like the L3502 was sold both as a Daedong and as a Kubota badged Daedong manufactured model. That means you might be able to get some information from Kubota dealers as well so long as you ask about the "Kubota" L3502.

This thread also has photos:http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/grey-market-tractors/107707-kubota-daedong-l-3502-a.html

No problem. You will find that even though threads do meander about and touch on various tangential topics all the time, however, if you are looking for a specific answer to a question like "which backhoe?", you will get a much better and faster response if you ask the question in an appropriately titled new post.

For example, you may get only my opinion on this thread as some guys will not read a thread about "DaeDong 81Yr Tx" but they would have responded knowledgeably and promptly to a question about backhoes for a DK45s.

For what it is worth, both Rhino and Kioti sell very fine backhoes. I presume you are looking for a 9 foot BH with a subframe. I have a Woods BH90x on my DK40se which I am very happy with. Kioti makes an 8.5 ft KB2485 which is excellent and has a different style subframe. Rhino products are excellent generally. Bobcat sells their BH for Bobcat branded Kioti/Daedong tractors and I know people have been happy with it. If you are buying used just make sure it has been properly greased so you will not be replacing bushings ($$$) and also make sure that the subframe fits your DK45s.

Good luck.
