I've got some leaky cylinders on a BF300 FEL mounted on a B8200. I figured not a big deal to throw in a repair kit til I went to buy one on line. As I had seen referenced in some other posts the kits sell for as little as $14 (on the B219). The kits for the boom and bucket cyls on the BF300 are $86 and $77.

Why the huge disparity? The cylinders aren't that much bigger. Is there any other way to get parts other than the Kubota kit? I'm not trying to be cheap, but well over $300 for a handful of rubber seals seems goofy.

Do you have a hydraulic supply store locally that sell seals? If yes and you have the cylinders apart and can afford a few days down time they can probably get the seals you need.

Second option: Cylinder repair shop they may also have seals.

Some cylinders use odd sizes and style of seals which could easily add to the cost.

Thanks oldnslo.

I'll have to force some out of the seat time and take them apart. I know we've got some shops around, but I'll look into the supply stores.
