CX2510 Lower Rad hose bi-pass, what is it for

HI All,
I am brand new to this forum as well as new to Kioti as well. I just bought a CX2510 for my acreage and since I live in Canada, wanted to install a inline heater. The problem is that there doesn't seem to be enough room for the install. Can anyone tell me what this by pass does and if it is required. Near as I can tell it leads up the cab of the tractor and down the other side.

I would think it is for heat in cab, at least that is how it's in automobiles. Pipe hot water to the heater core. Never had cab tractor. YMMV

That would make sense since it is a heated cab and my parts guys didn't recognize it. Since I like Heat I may have to think of an alternate way to warm it up since there isn't enough room for both the heater and this thing. Thank you!

Why an "inline" heater?

Install a block heater, or an oil pan heater. I’ve seen too many inline heaters catch fire….mine included. If I hadn’t been right there I’d have lost my shop…

Inline Seemed to be the easiest/cost effective install and my local parts store didn't have the 3/4 sleeve to install the block heater. I am guessing the next easiest will be the oil pan heater.

Block heater is very easy to install. Simply drain and save antifreeze, tap in the appropriate plug. When it pivots just grab it with pliers and pull it out. Insert heater, tighten it up, install antifreeze and done...

I'd go block heater as well. My previous and current came with it and it works very well. Suprised yours doesn't have one! Figured all Canadian tractors would have it. lol.
