My dealer was out to the house yesterday to do a update on the cvt. He said he did not know what it was suposed to but he would find out and let me know. He also fixed the hard steering under load problem, and the gurgling/fluid noise coming from the steering. Had to remove the entire column for this fix. As soon as I can work the tractor again I'll let ya know if I see any Diff in the CVT.

I certainly would like to hear about this also.
Well I had a chance to use the tractor yesterday and was very displeased with the update. Everything is the same except for 3rd gear. has absolutely no power in 3rd, the most rpm I could get going down the road was 2000. It used to be great in 3rd, would go to whatever rpm I wanted. I called the dealer this morning and told them what the problem is. They told me they would be out on wednesday to put the factory program back in. I souldn't have let them do in the first place.
That sucks, I wonder if New Holland is even working on the problems. I noticed on mine there is a lot of play in the throttle cable coming off the pedal. If you take that slack out it will raise the RPMs higher and won't bog down so quick. The only disadvantage is you loose some ability to creep.

I have drove the Boomer 8N before the update and after the update in the computer. Definatly a big improvement in operation and shifting with the new update. Tractor operates best when oil is warm.
