Are you looking for a rotary cutter? I will assume so. I have a 42" Bushhog cutter on mine. I tried a 413 JD (4') and found it to be to big for the tractor, weight was the main consideration. I mow some pretty steep stuff and with the 413 it made the front end to lite. I also think the TC-18 is a little under powered for the 4' cutter. Of course this depends on what you are going to cut. I only mow twice a year and the brush gets kind of heavy. The 42" Bushhog works great for me, it's not as heavy as the 413 and I can keep the frontend on the ground. I do have 160 lbs. on the front. I also think that by keeping the pto hp (15 on the gear drive and 14 on the hydro) in the middle range of the cutter it will do a better job.

Ya Solo,a rotary. Smallest I could find was a King Cutter-48 ".They're light duty ! I've got tall grass I cut twice a year,no brush . dass

Dass,

Assuming you cut with the FEL on the front you shouldn't have to worry about weight. I've found that my 60" RFM makes the front end light too (with out the FEL)

If you are only cutting grass, the 48" should be fine. You can always take a smaller pass if the brush is too thick. You can't always take a bigger pass if the grass is easy to mow.
