How brand specific are rotary cutter blades?

I picked up an old Taylorway mower for cheap a few weeks back when I was visiting the in-laws. The blades are fair, but I'd like to have a spare set handy.

If I'm buying new bolts and new blades is there any reason I'd need brand specific blades? Is there anything other than length that I'd need to worry about?

Length and width. Some are 4" and some are 3" though I can't see why you couldn't use whichever width you want. GO to agrisupply for low prices. I bent one of my blades and am very interested in the answers to this thread since I need a pair too.

Some are wider, some are longer, some are thicker metal. The there's the size of the bolt hole. And don't forget the amount of off-set.

Sometimes there's a difference in fit WITH-IN a brand.
