Don't know if in right forum. I had a small breakdown with my tractor, the tie rod end on steering stabilizer broke. I was able to get new tie rod but the jam nut is a m17 ,having it shipped.[ tie rod was welded, new tie rod to be tapped and die into stabilzer and held with jam nut} My tractor is used for small jobs, few times a month . If I needed it daily I would be in trouble. Wonder if other brands have this problem. I'm losing my local dealer end of year. Have found a new dealer about an hour away. This would be a consideration in buying a new tractor. plowking

find a well stocked dealer and buy from them. you pay shipping cost for everything now anyways,
I lost my local dealer several years ago and struggled with parts until I met several Mahindra dealers on this forum. No problem with parts now.

Was it a reverse thread jamb nut? I would think that a M17 nut would be in stock at most any tractor dealer worth their salt...

No,it was a right threaded nut. I went to other tractor dealer, fastenal ,online etc. I found 17 nut on toyota, volkswagon tie rod ends but the pitch was wrong. Dealer about a hour from me is having it shipped to me. plowking
