Current value of my 2008 Kawasaki 3010 Trans Mule diesel? Photos included.

I'm preparing to sell my 2008 Kawasaki 3010 Trans Mule diesel. Bought it in 2009 as a dealer demo with less than twenty hours on the clock. Today it has ninety hours on the meter and 320km/199miles on the speedometer. Original set of tires, no issues whatsoever and never off roaded, always garaged, just putting around our rural ag flatland neighborhood. I believe the MSRP back then was $10,99.00.
What do you think would be a fair asking price?

Warn RT40 winch
bed liner
floor mats
factory tilt up windshield

I haven't been on this board for quite some time ever since our beloved New Holland TC40 expert, jinman passed on. He helped me out on several occasions and yes, my 2002 TC40S is still running strong thanks to his knowledgeable advice.

No membership required It can be crazy to find, if you don’t use the filter feature to weed out different manufacturers, auctions, leases etc.

On subject, I just sold my 1994 Honda Foreman 400 with less than 750 miles on the meter, well maintained, no damage and serviced every year for 3000 bucks in 2 days, so year don't matter, condition does. When a good friend found out it was for sale, he bought it. Stopped at the farm with cash in hand and ramps in his pickup truck. Don't need the quad and the new side-by-side. I sold the quad for 500 less than I bought it for in 1995. I realize money isn't worth what it was in 95 but I think a 500 dollar loss in a little bit less than 29 years ain't all bad.

No issue selling it to a good friend either because it was 100%. No issues of any kind.

I'd think you mule would be worth almost what you paid for it so long as it's issue free, was never flogged and maintained properly.

You see it at auctions all the time. If it starts and drives, it's worth infinitely more than an unknown liability sitting there. The running one could be a pile of crap and the non runner only takes little to make it perfect, but that's not the perception.

I do know, that selling something in great shape, low hours can be very difficult. It's easier to buy new, with dealer financing and warranty to boot! If it was something pre-emissions compared to todays offerings, that could make the difference, in its favour.

Then there is the 'What do you want for it even though it's not for sale scenario. I get that all the time with my 1997 Ford F350 OBS 7.3 diesel 4x4. Everytime I take it somewhere (only gets out in the summer, never in the winter) and I stop somewhere, someone wants to buy it. I think I need to put a sign in the side window (it's a crew cab), not for sale.....lol

My quad wasn't seriously for sale either but my good friend wanted it and never questioned the price.

It’s a pretty effective tactic. I’ve bought a lot of stuff that way. But a truck that the owner is still using probably isn’t the best candidate for buying. People try to buy my 1 ton dump truck pretty often. Usually offering 3k, um no thanks.

Nice machine. You've barely run it enough to break it in!

The current 4010 goes for about $12K with closeout models going for $10K, so in real terms the price hasn't gone up much. I found listings for good condition gas models for around $6K. I would think with your machine being a diesel, having a top and windshield and having such low time on it you should ask about $7500 for it and see how it goes. You might get a little more, but if you push it too high people are going to look at it as an 11 year old machine verses a new one.

I paid $8,000 for mine with the gas engine brand new in 2011 that has fuel injection and power steering. I have no idea what I would ask for it if I wanted to sell it, but there is a local auction place that also lists stuff for sale on their website with prices that I think are pretty good for everything from tractors to implements to lawnmowers and UTVs.

This is a 2018 Mule with 71 hours for ten grand with a gas engine. I would guess that diesel would be worth more, but when I was buying, I didn't want a diesel engine, so who knows?
