Curious about the TC30

I'm rather partial to the "value" lines from various mfrs - I lump machines like my LK3054, the Kubota L2800/3400, and the NH TC30 into that catagory. I have found the TC30 to be an interesting machine, similar in some ways to the LK, but one spec seems a bit out of place. Namely, I expected it to be heavier (I'm not trying to start a weight argument Bob /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif). However, the NH website is a bit stingy with anything resembling information, so they only show the shipping weight of the 2WD version. Anyone know what accounts for the difference between the LK3054 and the TC30 (780lb)? Is it just a spec thing?

If memory serves me, the LK3054 is a 4wd model, and since NH only shows the shipping wt of the 2wd model that may account for some of the difference. The other difference could be in engine design, type of tires the spec includes, etc...

TC30 owners manual lists 4x4 weight with R4 tires and HST tranny as 2,392 lbs, 9x3 tranny as 2,385 lbs. Ag and turf tires weigh slightly less.
