Hi, Am looking to get a cultipacker in the 6' - 7' range. Any suggestions on models and prices?

Thanks,

Old and cheap seem to work best. Old is the key. The one I have has the grease cups at the bearings. Ones of this age should last for your grandkids. At auctions around here the prices of the small stuff is normally 2-5
times higher than the larger stuff. A 8-12 footer has been costing $40-$75. The 4-6 footers have been going for $100 and up. Mike

Someone must have leaked info that Al Capones gold was hid inside a cultipacker somewhere, 'cause folks have gone berserk over cultipackers and what they'll pay for one. It wasn't 10 years ago, you couldn't hardly even get a bid on one at an auction. Now they sell for 3 or 4 times what they cost NEW way back when.

If you stumble on to a good one that's too wide for your uses, and it's cheap anyway, they're VERY easy to down-size. Cut the frame and axle, and re-assemble as a smaller unit.

Seeing 8" to 10" ers in ROUGH condition bagging over $300 here.

There is an older fella on the beaten path that lives on a busy residential corner, he likes to tinker with tractors and stuff. His patch of grass seems to be the neighborhood for sale lot. I have bought both my cultipacker and cone spreader there I paid $100 for one and $200 for the other, I am not !00% sure but I think the packer was $200. The cultipacker seems to be the normal 4" axle brillion 8' working width in perfect rusted condition missing one ring. I picked up the extra ring used and two new end clamps for about $30.

I think it will be hard to find widths between 8' and a 5' (pup)

These roll easily for kicks I hooked it to my GT to do the garden

I bought mine 2 years ago at an equipment auction for $10. I was the only bidder. It had 2 broken wheels but all I did was break them off totally and push the rest toward the middle.

Looks like I need to focus on the 8-12' Brillions.....

And I have noticed that Mr. Capone must have hidden some of that gold up near his summer cabin in Wisconsin....
