So that's what those little buggers are ....

Organic ...... well you might try getting some hot peppers, grinding them up and then soaking them to get a liquid solution of hot pepper juice - a friend did this many years ago in his garden and it eliminated alot of pests.

Rotenone is organic - it's made from the roots of several different plants - it's definitely a posion though. But I believe it breaks down fairly rapidly.

Pyrethruem or Pyrethin (sp ?) is also organic I believe, but I don't know alot about it.

Here's a link to an interesting article. It discusses organic solutions for Flea Beetles and Cucumber Beetles.

We have always use what I think are called Hot Tops. They are made of wax paper and look like hats. They cover the plant until they are mature enough to handle the beetle attack. Have not lost a plant since we started using them.

Good luck,

Gary

Here is a link to the Dirt Doctor . I did not see anything about Cucumber Beetles but I might have missed it. So far everything I have tryed on this sight has worked very well. He gives recipes and also sells concetrate solutions for those of us that are to busy to cook it up. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

While at the store looking at my options, I saw a product named concern. It is some kind of a soap, the active ingredient is potassium salts of fatty acids. It's claim is to dehydrate the insects. It also claims to be usable up to date of harvest. I bought a container and we tried it this morning. Does anyone have any experience with this product?
Thanks to all who have posted suggestions so far.
