Cub xt2 endro wont start

Just picked up a xt2 enduro with a 22hp. Engine 50 inch deck. Will turn over if you hit the starter with a direct line to the battery. Nothing if u turn the key. Replaced the key switch nothing. I had it running by bypassing with a jumper cable hit the pto it shut right off. The hour meter wont even turn on or light up. Any ideas where to start? Any help is greatful.

Start by locating the 20 amp fuse normally in the neighborhood of the battery or close to the starter solenoid.. Some times will be clipped to the frame, may even be taped to the wiring harness, so may not look like a fuse holder at first glance. If the fuse is good then the next steps would be the clutch/brake switch and the pto switch/ or safety switch if manual engagement.

Solenoid is kaput, or maybe just no power to it. If you put 12v straight from battery on the return post from the keyswitch and it still doesn't crank solenoid is bad. If it cranks, fuse or problem to/from keyswitch.
