Hey all, so I am pretty familiar with Cub Cadets (LT series) for the most part, just picked up a used GT2544, and am going over all of it. I am at the deck now, and making sure everything is leveled and lined up correctly, Replacing worn down roller wheels, etc. So I got to the front deck hanger/bracket, and I know there are varying "theories" out there that the 2 nuts need to be on one side (as my pictures show) and the other is one jam nut on either side of the bracket. So my 2 questions are....are you guys doing 2 nuts on one side of the bracket, one a jam nut on either side of the bracket. and question 2. You can see the "gap" between the deck hooks and the bracket. If you look at my threaded rod ends, and nuts, you can see that the rod is damn near all the way forward, and not much thread remains to move it further. Anyone else experience this? the rear hanger and adjustment rods are all in their proper place, but I've never seen this much "slop" in the front bracket. Any thoughts?

You would have a nut on both sides of the bracket.
