i recently purchased a 1541. not too bad except plastic nose pieces have cracks. has anyone attempted to repair these cracks?

Hey Harley,
I've owned an 1860, and an 1862 and both of those tractors had the front/top pins broke off. You see a lot of that style tractor with lange pan head screws or other methods of attaching to the mounting point.
On one of those tractors mentioned above, I used a very large but short woodscrew and was able to get it to anchor to the panel, feeding it through the mounting hole, back into the side panel.
It was a very common problem on that tractor version.
