just bought a hds2165 for 500 bucks basically brand new sat for 8 years, starts up but idles up and down. also has a metal house coming out of the carb and while running it spits gas out of the hose don't know why but if anyone knows whats wrong please let me know thanks

you may need to clean the carb up... if you can post a picture of the 'hose' you are referring to...
